Emergent Voices Painting

As I paint I am dynamically creating the paintings using building blocks balance of color, texture, energy, contrast, light, space and rhythm. I will often incorporate multi medias including paint, crayon, chalks, as well as other materials at hand to bring out inner states of mind. A long term student at the Art Students League of New york I am fortunate to have studied with several of the foremost abstract artists of our era. Also a long term practitioner of meditation I often feel I am existing within the space of the painting as I allow intuition to guide and overrule the intellectual mind. I continuously push myself to take risks so as to avoid complacency and to produce art which remains fresh and alive and which may inspire and excite the viewer.
