About The Artwork

The wellspring of my potency emanates from an ethereal nexus known as the 'vertex of infinity' – the genesis of all things. Within me, a formidable force akin to a malevolent creature pulses with unrestrained fury. The convergence of this formidable energy precipitates a cataclysmic event akin to the cosmic genesis, propelling time and space into existence at an extraordinary pace. Amidst this celestial maelstrom, the echoes of my resounding heartbeat and hastened breath become ensconced within a veil of static, drowned out by the profound aftermath. At velocities approaching the speed of light, the amalgamation of confusion and trepidation materializes as a warped reflection from within, manifesting itself in the looking glass. The resulting cosmic explosion obliterates everything – piercing light and boundless might alike. The once uncontrollable, fervent power and incandescent desire disperse into myriad fragments. All that endures is the lingering vestige of this singular moment. Now, immune to both ire and transient anguish, this creature embodies my dread. It hurtles alongside me in parallel, traversing the continuum between inception and culmination.

Born in South Korea in 1980, I have been passionate about expressing myself through car paintings since childhood. I viewed racing cars as the greatest human artwork, and pursued fine arts at Dong-A University, earning a Bachelor's degree in 2007 and a Master's degree in 2010. Over time, my artwork shifted from emphasizing external car beauty to portraying my unique style, incorporating elements of time, space, relationships, and culture. Currently, I depict distorted car shapes symbolizing the modern generation's pursuit of happiness and self-made paths amid fierce competition. Using acrylics, I employ a technique of scraping paint with a squeegee, and incorporate embroidery for artificial straight lines, speed, and temporal shapes.
