ABOUT THE ARTWORK
While talking with friends nearly 50 years ago, someone suggested a great idea for a film. The idea was to explore various residences in the very early morning and discover the reason to be active at this hour. This idea remained with me, and while not a film maker, I decided to present it on canvas. I chose an apartment complex since it would be easier for the viewer to comprehend than individual homes. Most of the images deal with angst in some way, as this is what usually keeps people from a peaceful rest. The title comes from a William Bake poem that reads, "Every morn and every night, some are born to sweet delight. Some are born to sweet delight, some are born to Endless Night."
