ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Created: 2006- Painting with acrylic on Arches Watercolor Paper "Lavis Fidelis". To be hung like a Chinese scroll. Hardware not provided. My work underlines a cosmological model of the universe that proposes Pure Vibration as the true nature of the manifested world. Today, the field of science, especially quantum physics offers a radically new representation of the world, a new paradigm where Time and Space are conceived and experienced as dynamic fields of energy. This series of large scroll paintings commands physically the attention of the viewer. The verticality of the scroll emphasizes the connection between heaven and earth and confers them with ceremonial aura. The predominant use of black and white alludes to the formal rendering of X-Rays. I wanted the viewer to look through and beyond the physical appearance of reality, into inner systems, into the inner weaving, into the fundamental structural lattice connecting us with all parts of the universe.
