I was inspired to paint ephemeral echos after a stroke. During the stroke I had developed weakness on my right side. I was extremely dizzy with a headaches. I really got scared, when I thought I was losing my voice. Everything and everyone in this posess that helped get me get well were wonderful and I recognized the true star is my brain.

Anne Hurst has been studying many forms of Art over the decades. With her love of composition, movement and bright colours, her art is recognizable as abstract expressionist. In each painting Anne uses symbolism, and leaves a hidden code, Colours ranging from blue, to yellow, red and greens mingle with each other in an intense swirl. The areas of color relate while retaining their individuality, and communicating an interest story. It is the explosion of instinct, when Anne stands in front of the canvas and pours her emotions, thoughts, but also strength and energy onto the canvas. This is a powerful and intense narrative that slowly transports us into its articulated meanderings, and we the viewers cannot help but be guided on this mysterious journey of which Anne is the creator, unaware of what the destination will be, but you can be assured that the journey will be a powerful emotion, well worth seeing and feeling.
