ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I saw this wonderful pair on a beach in Cornwall last year. I was sitting sketching away whilst my kids were playing in the sea and this wonderful, eccentric old lady strolled past me, walking her little dog along the beach. I quickly turned to a fresh page in my sketch book and did a few quick sketches....as she was quite frankly, an artists dream. I've now decided that I want to be like Ethel when I'm older!!! Ethel and Bertie is varnished for protection.
