There is something about a bunch of flowers that simply makes you smile. An endless fascination, the beautiful combination of colour and shape and form, texture and scent, will show you something new each time you take the time to sit and take it all in. To me, a bunch of flowers is friendship. Bringing a little of the joy of the outside world into the welcoming sanctuary of one's home. It is gathering together the beauty around us to recreate on a canvas at the kitchen table, sipping tea and enjoying the silence in the warmth of each other's presence. It is the surprise belated birthday present after a long-awaited catch-up, the physical representation of their love. It is the special delivery at a time of grief, the reminder that there is still colour and joy in life in the form of friends that will always be there when you need them. And it is the celebration of a hard-earned achievement, the bright colours bursting from their ribbon a reflection of the joy shared by those who have seen your hard work, and have been there through it to see you to the end. An endless fascination, the beautiful combination of different friendships I have been blessed with show me something new each time I sit to reflect on their presence in my life. Like a beautiful bunch of flowers, with different colour and shape and form, texture and scent, each of my friends is so different, yet so beautiful and precious. Each a beautiful gift from my Heavenly Father. He knew I needed them both to lean on in the difficult times, and to share in the joys. Each so different, so beautiful in their own right, always there when I need them, constantly surprising me with their patience and love. This beautiful bouquet of friendships continues to bring colour and joy to my life. Though, unlike most bouquets which gradually wilt and fade, this one lasts a lifetime.

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Kate Cooper (AKA Lizzie), and my passion as a Christian artist is to create works that celebrate the beauty and complexity of the beautiful fauna and flora of God's incredible creation. As an Australian artist, most of my work boasts the beauty of Australian sceneries (particularly in the Central Queensland area), as well as the unique animals, birds and flowers of this incredible country. I love working with a pallet knife to recreate the energy and flow of stunning landscapes on my larger acrylic on canvas works, as well as sitting down to the finer details of character and specific features in my floral works and animal portraits. I started out my career as an allied health professional, having the privilege of working with a wonderful, dedicated team in a regional hospital for a number of years. In November 2020, our precious daughter was born prematurely, and we lost her three weeks later. Painting was one of the ways I managed to stay focused on the beauty there still was in the world around me, despite the fact that our little angel was no longer with us. Though our beautiful little Anna will never be far from my heart, God has bought so much good through her short life, including the opportunity for me to launch my career as an artist. I believe art really is a God-given gift to bring so much healing, as we allow our soul the space to breathe and express our deepest emotions. As such, I so value the opportunity to bring joy, peace and awe into the homes of my collectors through my works, as well as share the experience of creative expression in my classes.
