Hamid Boukheraz, Moroccan artist-painter, 52 years old, self-taught, lives and works in Kenitra. He dedicated his life to painting, graphic design and communication. His debut in painting was in 1984, in the studio of the artist Michel Deblea in the French Cultural Group in Kenitra. In 1990, he returned to the city of Cologne in Germany to study Communication and Graphic Design. And he devoted himself to the technique of painting on textile (silk) and Acrylic to paint realistic daily life, with a particular attention to the nature and the humans. In 1993 he received a number of trainings and workshops in the "Idee und Kreativ" workshops and the "Bürgerhaus Stollwerk" in the city of Cologne (Germany); followed by specialized training in communication (languages) and graphic design at the University of Cologne (Germany) 1994 to 1999. Currently, the artist focuses on the abstract with themes such as "Culture and Education" and "Art and Interculturality". Hamid Boukheraz is considered a model of the talented self-taught artist. He adopted a daily practice in order to improve his talent through his contacts with Moroccan and international artists to be inspired by their creations. In addition to this, he consulted art books, visited galleries and museums (The Louvre, Museums in Munich, Berlin, Cologne and Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art ...).
