Extinction & Extant Painting

I am a London-based Mongolian-born visual artist. Growing up in the Eastern Bloc, practising Buddhist and Folk Arts in Mongolia, education in Japanese Fine Arts in Tokyo and later moved the UK provoked my curiosity in social-cultural anthropology. I became increasingly aware of my native cultural ideology of "Hooson Chanar", which is influenced by the Buddhist view of Nagarjuna Sunyata. I see and compare social and environmental issues in interrelationships, dependent on each other to exist in harmony and quality of the impermanence of all things. With this view, my works have mostly metaphoric expression whether I choose subjects with figurative objects or abstract shapes.
