Melissa McKinnon is an internationally collected contemporary abstract landscape painter born and raised in Calgary, AB. She creates original acrylic paintings with vibrant colour and thick impasto texture. To create her contemporary landscapes, she sculpts and molds the paint using a variety of palette knives to apply the paint directly onto the canvas, creating a thick texture that can be felt as well as seen.
