ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Feria - Words are Silver". This image comes from a press cutting from the 1960's of the Feria de Jerez. I immediately fell in love with it and kept in a drawer for many years. Finally, when I produced my collection of art honoring Andalusian folklore I decided to reproduce it. This is the third time I paint it but never so large. The two previous ones are in private collections in Spain and USA. On this occassion, I decided to use Silver Pigment. The word FERIA means festivity in Spanish and best represents the spirit of the people from the South of Spain.

Marcos Terol is an international artist. His works ( oils on canvas ) present energetic movements of colours and shapes, projecting figures and scenes from nature. Focusing in his natural surroundings Marcos finds harmony and beauty in nature, figures and urban landscapes. His studio set in his home is on the Costa del Sol near the ancient city of Malaga. His home faces the coastline, washed by the Mediterranean Sea and nestled in between Andalusian white washed terraced houses and green pine trees. He paints at least 3 hours a day in his studio with brightly lit windows, facing his garden and the sea.
