About The Artwork
Looking into a lake I observe plants moving under the surface and above. During a contemplative painting process of putting one layer above the other whilst watching in a state of restraint I try to let things happen by surrendering without any aim and not wanting anything. What remains are overlaid coloured formations of structures. Between those layers emerges a spatial quality but only with a short spatial depth, a sort of light space like an atmosphere. The formations of structures are like floating elements. The light of the atmosphere surrounds and penetrates them. The artwork is signed on the back.
