I was born in India, 4th generation of an English family who went out to India with the East India company. I migrated to Perth, Australia in 1990 and have lived here ever since then. I am a psychotherapist, music producer (Whipdbeats), and artist. I have had a love affair with all art since I was a child, however I never had the courage to pick up a brush until I was in my mid-40's. I started with stick figures, taking art classes once every two weeks. I explored different mediums such as pastels, charcoal and watercolours. It was not until I started experimenting with acrylics and abstracts did I realise that I had finally found the art that resonated with me deeply and that I wanted to do. I love it because it stretches me to my utmost limits and takes me to other worldly places. I am at the early stages of my journey and ultimately I want to paint really big abstract canvases. I am influenced and inspired by artists such as Picasso, Pollock, Kandinsky, Kline, Dali, Basquait, Richter, Jeoffrey Johnson, Xanthippe Tsalimi, Michael Mcheen, Frederic Halbreich, Pierre Soulages and the list goes on.
