Thematically, I range from pure aesthetics to the painterly exploration of social and political themes.typically, small black and white photographs are the first inspiration.coming from Iran, political themes qua history play a role in the painting. The pair of paintings “Boatpeople”, which were auctioned as part of an exhibition, shows the journey on the water in a refugee boat against an ocean liner. As a computer scientist, I see and understand technologies such as VR, AI and their ever-increasing role in society. The series “Roulette” shows authentic snapshots of people onlineThe series “The Real Influencers” shows three people who have played a special role in many people's lives. Pablo, Mahatma and Ali, personalities who were “influencers” - not just of one generation - before the digital age. The paintings have been painted and interpreted on the basis of real photographs. The main character is always in the middle of a crowd, so that the energy in the moment is palpable. In the last year I have been changing my style so that I pay less and less attention to the perfect execution, but allow more room for “chance”.
