Faded Painting

Dirk Guidry (b. 1987) is a visual artist based in Lafayette, Louisiana, specializing in large-scale abstract paintings, live event painting, abstract portraits, and murals. Guidry actively engages with the art community through solo and group exhibitions across the southern region and beyond. While acclaimed for his captivating abstract works, he draws inspiration from the vibrant culture of the Acadiana community. This influence is evident in his distinctive portraits and immersive mural commissions, showcasing his fluid painting style. Guidry’s work is housed in private collections throughout the United States, and he has been featured in prestigious publications such as ArtWork Archive, MarDeck, and Studio Visit. Notably, he has participated in The Other Art Fair Dallas presented by Saatchi, received funding support through the ArtSpark program, and served as the official Visual Artist for the esteemed Festival International de Louisiane. He actively contributes to the growth of the arts in Louisiana, serving as a board member for the Louisiana State Arts Council. Guidry is also the Program Director and co-founder of BareWalls, an innovative art subscription service that offers businesses an affordable way to enhance their workspace while providing ongoing support for working artists in Acadiana.
