"Fallen auras" Painting

I use the image of a poster made by a gallerist to announce the exhibition of Warhol and Basquiat, in which appear with fists raised, ready to fight, The work is an ironic metaphor about the life and death of art and the role of artists in society and the art system. It invites us to reflect on these and other subjects related to art but absent. Inspires me to provoke reflections from the life and work of artists of the past, with the intention of contributing to demystify art as the creation of something beautiful, and to give it a meaning that questions the culture we live. By placing them with fallen arms, I mock their careers and everything they did that loses all its meaning to death, and only the graphic record remains without any implicit meaning, only material objects, which are conveyed in objects of worship by the Marketing planning. Fallen Auras, confronts us as artists and human beings with the meaning and appreciation we give to our lives in the face of death.
