FALMOUTH, SOUTH CORNWALL Unique, one off artwork based on a map section including: St Antony's Head, The Roseland Heritage Coastline, Falmouth and St Mawes on the River Fal. 8 x 12 inch mixed media on canvas paper, mounted and ready for you to frame at home, in your own choice of frame! Inspired by the sunshine glistening on the water and hillsides of my home in South Devon, and the beauty of the South West of England. These mixed media artworks are individually crafted using gold and copper leaf on paper with detailing in acrylic paints and inks and plaster to add a rugged texture. This image is 8 x 12 inches (203 x 305 mm) and is mounted ready for you to frame at a standard size of 12 x 16 inches (305 x 405 mm) Signed on the back, with a small signature on the front. ***PLEASE BE AWARE*** Due to the nature of the materials used, the best effort has been made to photograph these unique pieces of art in the most accurate way possible, but I cannot allow for differences in colouration between monitors and devices that this is viewed upon... THIS PIECE IS MADE WITH REAL COPPER LEAF, which makes the main body of the piece reflective and varies in different light - adding to the beauty and originality of each painting. *commissions for other areas are accepted, just message me!

Inspired by my home in the South West of England, I am currently developing my range of art from my studio in Brixham, Devon. I spend time gaining influence from the surroundings and looking in close detail or photographing patterns and close-ups before returning to the studio and setting to work. I like to cause the viewer to stop and spend time with the piece, looking at it from different angles, wanting to touch it or seeing the colours change depending on the light at the time of day - sharing some of the experiences I have gone through in creating and that I took influence from. Texture, colour and layers are all important to my view of the world which I present in abstract or expressionistic form. The use of gold or metal leaf in my art is to symbolise the value and importance of aspects within the piece, as well as for it's unique quality of adding reflective elements and bringing life to the image.
