ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Some of my recent paintings are about vigorous and contrasting relationship between shapes and textures. The shapes or forms juxtaposed to innovative textures are discovered during the process of painting or pulled from everyday sources. I seek for balance and build directional thrust. Examining of all areas and involving the units in different amount of attention they may call for allows the image to be perceived less statically. Through a chosen configuration of the parts, I imaginatively stimulate allusion of movement. The method provides the viewer with layers of association, attraction and ambiguity

I was born in Poland. Upon my arrival to Guelph, Canada in 1996 I decided not to continue scientific career in Biological Sciences but to pursue art and painting. My work has been progressing from expressive realism to abstract interpretation. Throughout my career I has developed a passion for the depiction of bodies, landscapes and other natural forms such as coral reefs, flames and plants.My recent abstract work focuses on depicting the female form engulfed in an orgy of color and gesture.
