"Femme Fatale" Painting

Anna Kosa is a London-based abstract expressionist painter originally from Hungary. Her work captures the feelings, mood states and process of emotional healing. She works on large canvas mosaics that represent the complexities of the human condition and the shattered perceptions of reality that occur after experiencing trauma.

The act of creating her paintings is Anna’s way of working through her own traumatic experiences in a form of externalised visual self-reflection. She creates artworks to depict and raise awareness of the everyday emotional and mental impacts of traumas that are observed through the lens of post-traumatic growth.

Anna works with a delicate balance of mindful decision making and letting go of control, helping her to stay present in the moment. She starts each collection with a specific feeling in mind and allows her intuition to guide her in mixing her paints from primary colours.

She uses multiple pieces of non-attached canvases to create her artworks, resulting in an endless combination of orientations for the owner to hang the artworks by.

She exercises minimal control in her creative process and let her mood states, intuition and the media guide her, resulting in truly unique artwork mosaic pieces, the outcome of which cannot be predicted in advance nor replicated identically due to the highly experimental nature of her creative process.
