Contact us.Francesco was born in Messina, Sicily, where he attends an arts high school and pursues a BA in Fine Art and Painting.
After finishing his academic studies, Francesco embarks on a journey, to portrait the world.
After studying the techniques of the great Italian Masters, such as Michelangelo, Raffaello, and Perugino, copying their masterpieces and using their original techniques, he starts his own studio in Pisa. Here he perfects his style by applying personal studies to a mixture of past experience and new experimentations.
At this point Francesco start facing a change of direction which slowly and thoughtfully moves him from the classical studies to the hyperrealism. The friendship with some of Italy’s biggest hyperrealists, and his passion for this new technique, contributes to the creation of his own personal style which eventually makes him known and appreciated by many.
He takes part in several art events, and holds a few personal exhibitions such as “Colori e Luce” at Associazione Rapanui and “Un Percorso” at Melograno Arte, Livorno.
His works are recognised for the depth and brightness of the colours. He loves floral motives and nature still life, where shapes and colours mix together blending the canvas with reality.
Francesco is now settling in the UK, where he’s looking for new artistic inspirations and challenges.
