The shine of these dogbane beetles is something beautiful. They often have lots of green, copper, and even red in them, but I love the turquoise that is coming through in this one. Painted with fine acrylics and lined with ink on heavy fine art paper. Finished with archival varnish to protect from dust and UV and preserve color quality.
