Fire in the Hole Painting

What began as a simple application of color, became intense and frenetic. Simple forms initially implied the nebulas of our universe, and then as it developed my focus was on the fires that were obliterating areas of the US. The end product was not the serene representation I thought I was going for. I was so intensely affected emotionally by the devastation that had ensued..........that had to be reflected in this work. This painting has different values of reds, oranges, yellows and darks. See what you will, feel what I felt! It is finished with a high gloss varnish. All work is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.
