I create surreal scenes which draw inspiration from the natural world. Often my work reflects my daydreams or whatever is in my imagination at the time, taking elements that exist in reality. My subjects interact in such a way as you might imagine them in a dream sequence with an ethereal quality. Against the backdrop of a vast black sky, I’ve created flying koi fish. Happily flying around, the koi fish represent a type freedom and a sense of escapism. I like to think of my work as timeless, belonging to no particular time or place, existing only in dreams.
