Fishermans cabin, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. This small fishing village was a frequent stop for most tourist visiting the island. I was struck by the beautiful sunset as the light flows across the cabin.

Errol W. McKinson is a resilient and vibrant breakout award-winning artist. At an early age, Errol was fascinated by the works of art that surrounded him in his homeland Jamaica and later became extremely interested in Modern Art, Impressionism, and Cubism, the style and techniques of Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne, Pablo Picasso, and George Braque. These Masters influence Errol’s work today.
As a self-taught artist and a recipient of numerous awards – most recently, the Certificate of Recognition from the Comptroller of Maryland, the award for Excellent Art Achievement from Artist Space Gallery, and the Director’s Choice Awards from Howard County Arts Council, Errol specializes in oils, acrylics, and watercolors. These media bring to life the warm majesty of his experiences from growing up in Jamaica and incorporate awe-inspiring visions of the beauty that surround him in America and his travels to other countries
