ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This composition is about learning. I wanted to draw comparisons between the two figures in the foreground and the five bar gate in the background. The idea of learning and teaching as object and shadow. We are learning how to play the piano, the form of the gate is like the shape of sheet music. The rhyming of patterns in teaching the world.
