About The Artwork

"Flaco" the Owl beloved Eurasian Eagle - Owl Death of beloved New York City Owl, Flaco, in apparent building collision. Flaco escaped it's Central Park Zoo. He escaped from the Central Park Zoo in February 2023 and fascinated New Yorkers as he flew around Manhattan. On February 2, 2023 one or more people have not been caught, damaged Flaco's enclosure at the zoo. The Owl escaped through a hole left by the vandals in the exhibits stainless steel mesh, he was gone at 8:30 p.m. If Flaco lived at the Central Park Zoo, he could of lived to 60 years old. Outside flying around could of lived until he reached the age of 20 years old. Flaco past away at the age of 13 years old very young. First of all, they should of caught him and brought him back to the zoo. Flaco was born in a bird sanctuary and he didn't know about poisons in rats, flying into glass buildings. One day Flaco would be peeping into someone's apartment, or sitting on a water tower, and Flaco had his favorite tree in Central Park. Flaco brought the city together, and now we all miss Flaco, very sad. Certificate of Authenticity included. Sides painted white and ready to hang.

Artist Statement - My main emphasis has been to create my own way of painting. I had the basics, but went into new areas by instinct. Description: From the early 1970's I developed my own style that I called Expansionism--everything I sense I expand (that certain something, hunch, instinct, thoughts, feelings, emotions, beliefs). The inner dynamics (the inner world) of the subject expand beyond its outward appearance, and into the environment (divine matrix, the field, nature's mind, mind of god, quantum hologram). Two places science got it wrong. 1. The space we believe is empty is really not. It is full of a living material, pulsating essence. 2. We may experience inside of our bodies that influence the world beyond through the conduit in this space. *** Note: Another aspect of "Expansionism" When you look at a glass on the table, what happens? The glass expands and is another way of seeing. Elissa is in many private collections throughout the world. She has a wide range of subjects, erotica, fantasy, humor, interiors, landscapes, moods, nature, patterns, people, places, and still life.
