ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired to paint this flamingo because of the beautiful bright colours, but also because flamingos are such quirky looking creatures. I found the contrast of the blues and the reds absolutely captivating, and aimed to balance them in the painting to give a clean and fresh summer feel. This painting has been produced using artist grade oil paint on canvas. A coat of professional grade art varnish has been applied to give a semi-gloss finish and protect the painting from dust, UV light and other environmental factors. The painting is provided in a complimentary handmade wooden frame which is painted white and fitted with picture wire, ready to hang. The painting is signed on the back and will be shipped with the Certificate of Authenticity. The painting measures 14 (H) x 10 (W) inches (35 x 25 cm).
