His time spent navigating the waters of East Nusa Tenggara—home to the islands of Sumba, Komodo, and others—left an indelible mark on his creative vision. Rather than depicting these landscapes directly, Harris's paintings channel the essence of his experiences. His work speaks to the feeling of longing, the quiet beauty of distant places, and the profound connection to the natural world.
