Fleur de Feu is a garden in flames. It's second of three in a series that can be displayed as a triptych. The first, Fleur de Mer, french for Flower of Sea, was painted in 2016, and is loved and often remarked upon in my studio. It's a cool blue fathom with flowers softly undulating from the sea floor, in the current, towards the surface. A Fleur de Feu, or french Flower of Fire, should not survive, but for this imagined place. The only place it may thrive in the real world as well as in the painting, is in Fleur de Lumière, which is the last in the series.
