ArtFacts Ranking 70,663(World), 1644(Japan) Taro Yakumo grew up in an environment where both parents were working in art-related fields, and began painting in oil and other media at an art class at an early age. He did not pursue art school, but instead turned his attention to music. Although he had nothing to do with art for a while, he has experienced the changing art scene in Japan and abroad by visiting art fairs in various countries, studying abroad in Korea, and staying in the U.S. to produce artworks. He expresses himself with a new concept by incorporating motifs of things that symbolize the contemporary society we are living in right now into his works.
