Art is a real passion.

I graduated from De Montfort Uni in Leicester and thoroughly enjoyed my years there. It was a great experience and one that stretched the creative boundaries to help me become an artist in my own right. I experimented, as you should at uni, on a number of mediums. Painting and drawing ended up being 'my thing' that I continued with and enjoyed working with the most.

I now work full time as an Artist in between being a busy mum of one and love what I do. I create original works but also work as a commission artist.

​My own works are inspired by connection whether this is with the outdoors, nature, life-experiences, people or places. Drawing on this continuous theme, I use emotion, movement, colour and mark making to create my original abstract impressionist pieces. I use acrylic paint as my main medium when working on canvas, but I also like to use other mediums such as oil paint, metallic spray paint, marker pen and gold leaf to add different dimension and texture to my paintings, buildings the pieces up as I go. For my more figurative illustrations, I use pen and metallic silver and gold marker and for portraits, well, pencil or watercolour, adding pen and metallic marker for added detail and dimension. I use Winsor and Newton products, as well as Artistro, Edding and Stabilo Products.

​Many artists, new and old inspire me everyday. those who has remained old favourites are by Matisse, Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Peter Lanyon and Terry Setch.
