Caution: this artwork is real painted and is not digitally assisted or computer printed! "Folia Nux (II)", 2022, (fluorescent, metallic acrylic & gilded foil on canvas), 33x27cm. (…) His paintings bring to debate in postmodern terms the “archaeology” of the artistic avant-garde at from the beginning of the century. His artistic answer to this fundamental renewing movement at the turn of the century is very straight and ingenious, showing skilful compositional and chromatic art, recovering plastic and spiritual suggestions in sense of cosmic Qi mean. We can see the male - female antinomies at cosmic scale, as well as the vegetal genesis which crosses the angular forms which want to master the atmosphere and build a new universe. Placing itself in an oneiric space which cannot be defined simply as figurative or non-figurative, Serge Vasilendiuc’s painting has a powerful persuasive insight. The chromatic quality is however emphasized by the special structure of disposing the surfaces of color, the texture of the brushes - sometimes organized with passion, sometimes with refinement, with a preciousness of the paint.
