About The Artwork
This mountainous landscape flows with a neutral palette of beige, cream, dark brown, hints of black and metallic copper. The mountains have a lot of detail and mark making with charcoal and pastel. The sky is a soft off white, soft grey and cream. This artwork is part of the Banksia series which traces Banksia trees throughout Australia in mountains and coastal regions. This mixed media painting has areas of metallic copper leaf that changes in the lights and beautiful layers of colour washes and pastel. This artwork ships rolled in a tube. The full unstretched dimensions are 84 inches x 41.4inches (213 cm x 105cm) - stretching on a thick/deep edge 4cm ( 1 and 1/2inch) stretcher would result in an artwork 79.5 x 36.7 inches (202cm x 93cm) approximately and the painting will wrap around the edge. The "room image shows the artwork cropped to 202 x 93cm - 79.5 x 36.7 inches . Framing or stretching on a thin edge canvas would be larger. It is signed on the front and back of the painting.

I paint, I create and make things that make me happy. Sounds simple enough... but maybe that's what it should be. I was born in Ireland, grew up in Zimbabwe and have lived in the UK,USA and Australia. Meeting new people and exploring where I live inspires much of my work. I create in a medium appropriate to the inspiration. My artwork finds expression in oils, acrylics, charcoal, mixed media and glass. I use print making, stenciling, texture, fabric and transfers to create multi-layered tactile pieces. You will find my unique artwork in offices, hotels, homes, bars and restaurants in Australia, Europe, USA, Canada, China, Singapore and Southern Africa. I have 14 years of experience consulting on various international projects where the work was created to specification as the majority of the projects required custom made artwork. I understand how to evaluate and select materials that align with aesthetics, compliance and individual needs. I am very comfortable with collaborating on a brief and love the cross pollination of ideas that result from co-designing art work.
