I have been a practicing artist all of my life in Southwest Michigan where I was born and raised. I pursued art in college at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids Michigan. My work ranges from earlier work in more realistic illustrative drawings and paintings to more recent figurative abstract oil paintings. Influences range from German Expressionist toRenaissance painters to more modern figurative artist. Specific artist of influence include Egon Schiele, Kathe Kollwitz and H.R. Giger for his illustrative work. Some noted highlights from my artist career are listed below:
• Love Seat Painting featured in Scientific Journals International, Journal of Creative Work. Volume 1, Issue 1, 2007.
• Drawing featured in The Art of Teaching Art: A Guide for Teaching and Learning the Foundations of Drawing Based Art (2000) ISBN: 0-19-513079-0
• Awarded commemorated status for commissioned poster for city of Battle Creek (2007)
