Painting: Oil on Canvas.
An artist friend was painting with me. We decided to both work from the same photo of a forest and see what came out. There is nothing the same about the two paintings. Initially the painting was about the blooming cherry tree, but I wanted something on the path to lead us there. So the animals appeared. An accidental slash created the golf hole so then came the ball and the chasm to create a hazard. Strange people are hidden in the trees. Rainbow sits in the sky. So a hole in one leads you to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It is all metaphors for unconscious thoughts, dreams and feelings and the viewer can feel how it relates to their own inner world.
The painting comes signed front and back, sides painted black and wired for hanging.
