ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece holds a special place in my heart. This is my interpretation of what dementia looks like. I used a monochromatic color scheme to display how patients typically would lose sight of different colors. I added faint colors through the streaks to represent memories and moments of a patient that are on the cusp of being remembered. I chose the face in the middle to show one memory that will never be forgotten. Someone very special. This painting was done in acrylic paint to show more depth and layers.
