The lights in Frankfurt in the evening, in the city center with a view of the Messeturm. Always a source of inspiration for a painter who is looking for atmospheric motifs. Quickly and sketchily, with a few strokes, in a rather cloudy weather in the evening. That's all...

Contact us.In my native city of Split, on the Croatian coast, I knew early that I had a particular fondness for drawing and painting. As a teenager, I spent a lot of time creating drawings of people, interiors and nature. There was a feeling of deep satisfaction when I had succeeded in my work.
I was fascinated by old masters, especially Rembrandt and Monet, and I really wanted to paint like them. Abstract painting wasn't so much in my focus, but that has changed significantly over the years. In 1983 at the age of 19 I started my studies in art and art history at the University of Zadar and graduated in 1989. During my studies I took part in various student exhibitions.
Sculpture and graphic design were also among my interests. Shortly before the war in my country in 1989 I came to Germany and worked not only as a painter and freelance graphic designer, but also as a lecturer. During this time, my style has changed from a realistic to a more impressionistic and expressionistic one, and in some cases I have already painted abstract pictures. During this time I also illustrated textbooks and did wall painting. As a painter, I try to portray reality as I experience it. This includes not only the depictions of nature but also people and their inner world. Portraits, landscapes or also partially abstract representations complete my field of activity. I use different techniques, but mainly acrylic and watercolors. Oil paintings or mixed techniques are also part of it. My drawings are mostly a preparation for working on a painting, but portraits, sketches and geometric drawings are not uncommon. In 2002 I took part in an exhibition in Frankfurt and got the second prize. After that I continued to paint very actively, also selling pictures and drawings. I regularly took part in joint exhibitions in Frankfurt, and I was also very present online. I became a member of the Saatchi online gallery ten years ago and have sold several paintings to this day. My style varies from impressionism and expressionism to abstract painting. In 2020 I took part in the art exhibition in Zurich, Switzerland with two pictures, was also included in the catalog. Art and especially painting are my vocation and I am happy when people find something special in my work that appeals to and touches them.
