Nomophobia, or the fear of being left without a mobile phone, is one of the most modern phobias recognized by the medical community. And although so far nomophobia, like addiction to a mobile phone, have not received official numbers and disease codes, more and more specialists recognize that these disorders actually exist and are dominating more and more people.
A person exposed to it cannot get rid of the desire to find their gadget (if it is lost) or to be near it (if, for example, it is left at home). As a consequence of the fact that all thoughts revolve around the device and the fact that it is somewhere not here, irritability, inability to concentrate, feelings of severe discomfort, sadness, and loss are observed. The same is true if the phone is physically close to its owner, but there is no cellular network signal and Wi-Fi, because sometimes it’s not the device itself, but the ability to go out with it to the “big” world.

The main issues that concern me as an artist are possible options for the future of art, which will lead to the development of the current situation, as well as the interaction of humans and mobile devices. I have devoted many years to creating digital graphics for mobile games, and this experience makes me think about what art might become in the future. As an artist, I am interested in the relationship between man and technology, the influence of gadgets on the way a person understands the world, and his emotional connection with these objects, in the form in which they appear in life. The painting becomes a playful experiment that allows me to explore more deeply and think more about myself, people, the world around me on a two-dimensional surface. I believe that art should tell stories that make people think about a particular problem, open up new topics for discussion, encourage the viewer to reflect and internal dialogue. It is very important with the help of work to create an environment, a situation, a reason for thought for the viewer. My work first of all starts with finding an idea, inventing a story that I want to tell through a new project. And then I move on to creating works. My technique has been greatly influenced by my long experience in computer graphics. This is the creation of sketches on a computer, and some works are created in digital format. And also I am very interested in using the found objects in my work. With a little help from an artist, they can tell a whole story on their own. And often they become the source of plots that are embedded in the general outline of my work, which includes various aspects of human existence.
