Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Oil, Marker, Oilstick on Canvas.

April/Mai is the time of the year when the blue iris bloom in Provence, France. Along side the roads. As they did when Vincent van Gogh picked a handfull and painted his well known paintings.
I have quite a few of these 'wild irises' in my french garden and in the painting above I have tried to capture a fragment of their intensity - and their absolute need to show off.
Blue irises are determined! - and very much blue!
Painted from my memory, as I cannot go back to my house down there - in these crazy 'corona-times'.
This painting is an abstraction over the theme 'blue iris'.
The work is framed in a narrow strip og wood (nature) and is ready to hang on the wall right after unpacking.
The painting ships in a crate of wood. Easy to open.
