Im a visual artist and teacher of the University of Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), graduated from the University of Vincennnes (Paris 8) with a Masters degree on Contemporary art and new media from the same university. Although my artistic practice has had great development in the field of painting, i have a particular interest on research on visual narratives, the use of new technologies in art and the appropriation of the cinematographic language in contemporary art. My work emerges from the constant cross between art and science and often assumes forms as videos, installations and video installations. These are the result of continuous reflections on themes like the inner perception of time, the fragility of the future of humanity and the consequences of the action of human, face to phenomena like climate change or species extinction. I have exhibited in galleries, institutions and independent spaces in countries like France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Colombia and he actually lives in Bogotá, Colombia. Among the most relevant exhibitions are , Paysages Interieurs at Selam Art Gallery in Paris, France, 2006; Tres artistas colombianos, at Centre d’ Art Contemporain of Trizay, France, 2007; Cartografía Íntima at Artecámara (Chamber of commerce of Bogotá), 2008; FACES/PLACES/SPACES and Spleen at HB55 Kunstfabrik, Berlín, Germany, 2011. The most recent, Deep Surface at Nest Art Center in (Bogotá, 2016), Dark Matter (2016) and OtrO (2017) in Permanente Art Space, Utopía-Distopía, un futuro imperfecto, at Poliedro Arts, Tabio (2017), 4th Art and Technology Salon VOLTAJE (2017), Pintura Inmortal I and II at El Museo Gallery (2018 and 2019), Otras Naturalezas at Fundación Gilberto Alzate Avendaño (Bogotá, 2018), Campamento and Después del fuego at Plural Nodo Cultural, Bogotá, Colombia in 2019. My work has been influenced by artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Cy Twombly, Albert Oelen, Gerhard Richter, Neo Rauch, Matthias Weischer, David Schnell, Martin Kobe, Corinne Wasmuth and Frank Nitsche, among others. Currently living in Bogota, Colombia, my artistic career has been shaped by my studies, travels and long periods living and working in cities like Milano, Paris and Berlin.
