About The Artwork
Full Moon Celebration recreates the abundant Balinese Hindu ceremony performed every month under the bright moonlight. The ritual caries the feelings of abundance and gratitude. The Balinese Hindu deeply believe in the power of the Moon and the intentions they set during this magnificent ceremony. Dana is born 1963 in Bali, spiritual and cultural centre of Indonesia. He is an abstract impressionist artist, his art is world known and has been displayed in prestigious galleries in France, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia and North America. Dana rarely uses a paint brush. Instead he has developed a unique style of Pointillism to create impressionistic landscapes. He applies color on canvas using a stick, palette knife or his fingers. His landscape paintings are broad, sweeping and depict the annual cycle of sowing, harvest and the rites of celebration. Dana’s world is one of rich colors and a glimpse of paradise.
