ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Lately I’ve been drawn to more figurative work with a focus on women and fashion. Whilst painting this I was listening to a number of different albums and heard the line 'Good on my Own'. I can't recall the song now but it seemed fitting to include the actual words in the painting. The older I get the more I've learned to care less about what other people think and to learn to trust myself.
