ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This was inspired by a commission I did for a internet company. Theirs was much larger. Each canvas was two foot square in sets of six or three. I wanted to do something for the average person that wasn't so expensive yet was an original. This set of six canvases was done with a black background, spattered with white paint, to give the look of outer space. The squares on top is made from 300# w/c paper, painted white to grey then hand torn to deckle the edges. Then they were glued to black foamcore and then glued to the canvas. Again you can turn each canvas to make a new pattern, hang them as shown or line them up or group them. VERY UNIQUE! Each panel is $100, set of six = $600 - SPECIAL PRICE: $500 Buy TWO sets and get them for $450. per set + $900 You save.

Carol has been a professional artist for over fifty years, mastering calligraphy, watercolors and now acrylics. She studied at the Cooper School of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, and took many private classes but considers herself to be a self taught artist. Using lots of detail, layering bright and bold colors and sometimes a touch of humor, has won her many awards. She continues to win awards today. She has been published and has a painting in the Postal Museum of the Smithsonian. She will be a featured artist with the Mayo Galleries in Arizona later this year. Carol likes to draw the viewer into her paintings using her particular style. She loves nature and enjoys painting flowers, land/seascapes and some abstracts. She applies a lot of layering in her paintings no matter the subject matter. Always wanting to improve her skills, she taught herself how to use the palette knife. Her latest series of Moon In Africa Series is a fine example of those bright colors contrasting with the moon and the animal silhouettes. Most of her paintings are available in print through and through It is an honor and a privilege that Carol has been invited again to be a featured artist with the Mayo Clinic Galleries in Phoenix Arizona beginning in February 21,2023 to May 23, 2023. Her main goal with her art is to make people smile. "Life needs more joy and a painting should give the viewer joy. A happy painting is my way of giving back to those who view or buy them".
