How beautiful and tender these roses are in my garden... Beautiful rose on a white background is made with liquid acrylic. The picture is original, it is absolutely impossible to repeat the pattern created by the three elements of fire, water and wind. The painting is covered with matt varnish.

Contact us.Svetlana Petrova paints small. Almost the entire body of work on view sits at twelve by
twelve inches, and this constraint is not incidental — it is the key to understanding what
she is doing. These are not grand statements about nature. They are close encounters with
it, the kind that happen when you stop and really look at a single leaf, a single bloom, a
single petal catching light. The intimacy of scale creates an intimacy of attention.
The technique is acrylic on canvas, worked with a fluidity that suggests water, breath,
and movement. Svetlana does not render botanical forms so much as she releases them.
Her petals are not delineated but implied — built from layered washes and gestural
passages that pool and spread across the small canvas, creating edges that are soft, alive,
and slightly unpredictable. There is a convincing wetness to much of the work, a sense
that the paint is still in motion even after it has dried. Color is her primary instrument and she deploys it with both boldness and restraint. Svetlana's practice is coherent and quietly assured. She has found a subject — the natural world in close-up — and a scale — intimate, contemplative — that suit both her temperament and her technique. Within that frame, she produces work of genuine beauty and consistent quality.
