Contact us.As a self-learned artist, my practice has grown from years of independent exploration, deep observation, and a personal fascination with the emotional language of nature. I paint to capture atmosphere—the way light moves through leaves, how colour vibrates in a quiet garden, or how koi drift beneath shimmering water. My work emerges intuitively, through layered brushstrokes, expressive texture, and a sensitivity to rhythm and stillness.
Although I did not follow a formal art-school route, my learning has been intentional, immersive, and shaped by continuous study. I regularly attend lectures, guided viewings, and practical workshops at the National Gallery, where I study historical techniques, colour theory, composition, and the expressive traditions of European masters. These sessions have become an important part of my development, helping me refine my eye, expand my visual language, and bring greater depth, structure, and intention to my paintings.
Working primarily in oils, I start with acrylics for underpainting and then blend impressionism, pointillism, and botanical abstraction to create surfaces that feel alive and atmospheric. Nature remains central to my practice because it holds truth, serenity, and movement—qualities that resonate with how I experience the world.
Through each piece, I hope to offer viewers a moment of stillness, beauty, and quiet emotional connection.
