About The Artwork
Part of an ongoing series on work & utility trucks in Los Angeles. This truck was photographed outside a residence where it was doing yard work. The piece is acrylic / mixed media, created directly on a steel panel, mounted to wood. For the past several years I have been photographing and painting service work trucks. Their controlled chaos, often very much on display for anyone looking, is a window into L.A. daily life. The trucks are portraits of job, a commitment, and a relationship to the urban fabric of the city.
