Inspired by the story behind the song "The Girl from Ipanema" where the composers saw a young teenage girl passing their bar. They saw a mixture of flower and mermaid, full of light and grace on her route to the sea. The song is about the feeling of youth that fades, of the beauty that is not ours alone—it is a gift of life in its beautiful and melancholic constant ebb and flow. This is autumn from a series of the 4 seasons.

ReiNarDus is a Dutch painter who lives and works in Sint-Martens-Latem (Belgium). He graduated as a graphic designer but painting has always been his first love. It all started with the simple lines and bright colours that he found in comic books as a child. Over the years, his art has evolved from simple cartoonlike drawings to a more realistic style. These days, his interest lies primarily in portraying the human figure with the emphasis on color and the substance of the paint itself.
