About The Artwork
The image was inspired by the worldwide increase in social aggression and wars. Finding a visual expression for this was not so easy. Since figurative representations were too specific for this complex topic for me, I chose a representation with abstract geometric shapes and predominantly cool colors. Destructive forces as sharp forms fight with each other and against everyone. A fragile tower on the left edge of the picture symbolizes the vulnerability of our seemingly stable social world. The flower-like structure emerging from the chaos on the right edge of the picture and the overall bright color scheme could brighten the mood. The geometric shapes remain in the second dimension. The background creates a certain depth.
