ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was inspired by a love for the colours and spiritual symbols of India and the Middle East. I love to bring a fusion of east and west into my art. Traditionally the Hamsa hand also known as the Hand of Fatima is symbolic of blessings, good fortune and good luck. The eye is symbolic of the light of the soul keeping the glares of negative energies away. I have added words to the painting that hopefully will be a daily reminder that our true protection is positive thoughts for ourselves and others.
