About The Artwork

'Glass': I like the thought that art and artists reflect each other on a kind of transparent plane, through time. I think that is what Duchamp was after in his 'Glass'. He was unconfident of finding 'IT' by using just 'paint'. While others were using steel, glass, explosives. I am confident that steel, glass and explosives will not be heard, will not reflect what we are looking for. Tender and soft things will resonate. "I AM Van Gogh, you know?" - Pablo Picasso. (from André Malraux' "Picasso's Mask"). Acrylics and oil on canvas, created in summer 2013. The work is ready to hang. If framed, I recommend using a shadow gap frame.

I am a painter and visual artist. I am based in Worpswede near Bremen, Northern Germany. To create my works, I draw and I paint. I am fascinated by the forces, movements and rhythms which connect us human beings with nature - they deliver the energy for my work. For me, the most important content of an individual work is the energetic and emotional field it creates. For my drawings charcoal is most important for me, because of its archaic and basic power and because of its tenderness. To paint I use mainly oil colors, also I use tempera with classical natural pigments. On Saatchi Art I present a selection of my works, mostly paintings. On Instagram I show studies, drawings, "works in progress", and installation or exhibition views of my work. ---
